Daniel A. Papsdorf has been selected by the Midwest Association of Graduate Schools (MAGS) as one of this year's two Distinguished Master's Thesis Awards for his thesis in history titled "Trade, Diplomacy and War Along the Waters: The Mississippi During the American Revolution." Papsdorf was mentored by Robert Owens, associate professor chairman of the History Department. Papsdorf is currently a doctoral candidate in Duke University's history program. At WSU, he won the Spring 2010 Dora Wallace Hodgson Award for outstanding master's thesis, and this led to his nomination for the MAGS award.
