Reminders
* The Office of the Provost asks faculty to encourage students in their classes to participate in the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE). Email messages, with a link to the online survey, were sent to students asking for their participation. A final reminder will go out Tuesday, March 29. In appreciation for participating, WSU will enter all students into a drawing for five gift certificates worth $100 each. * KMUW's spring 2011 on-air pledge drive begins Thursday, April 7, and phone volunteers are needed. Volunteers are asked to attend a one-hour session at KMUW. Phone training sessions are slated for 7 a.m. and noon Monday, April 4; and noon and 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 5. Call 978-7171 to schedule your training session, shifts and with any questions. * WSU Fire/Safety will conduct the annual fire sprinkler testing this week (March 21-25). Fire alarms will sound during the testing for a short period of time. The tests will occur in all buildings with a fire sprinkler system.
* If you have a son or daughter who is a transfer or a college-bound high school student, the Office of Admissions invites you to Future Shock, a recruitment dinner for college-ready sons and daughters of WSU faculty and staff. * The Audiology Clinic at WSU's Evelyn Hendren Cassat Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic will offer free hearing screenings Monday, March 28, to Friday, April 1. The clinic is located at the Eugene M. Hughes Metropolitan Complex. Call 978-3289 to schedule an appointment. Limited space available.
