The Wichita Jazz Festival is celebrating its 40th year Wednesday, April 20-Saturday, April 23, at venues in the community and at WSU. Its support organization, the Bebop Brigade, provides grassroots help to the festival. Members who contribute $100 or more during the year receive two tickets (or one ticket per $50 donation) to a festival concert and an invitation to a reception with Lionel Loueke and Gretchen Parlato. Members also get a cool bumper sticker and their names listed on the website, http://www.wichitajazzfestival.com, and in the festival program. Donations in support of the Bebop Brigade can be made out to Wichita Jazz Festival Inc. and mailed to Wichita Jazz Festival, P.O. Box 3981, Wichita, KS 67201.
