Vote for Wichita State University, so the Delta Dental of Kansas Foundation Dental Hygiene Clinic at WSU can win $2,500 to purchase several ultrasonic scalers for use with patients in the clinic. Ultrasonic scalers are small hand-held machines used to fracture heavy deposits of buildup on teeth before cleaning and are especially beneficial when providing care to patients who do not receive regular cleanings. The clinic is participating in the Delta Dental of Kansas Champions Project, in which 10 Kansas organizations are vying for one of four mini-grants. Teams of employees at Delta Dental of Kansas have adopted projects to promote. Last Thursday, WuShock visited Delta Dental's Waterfront office in Wichita to promote the contest and hand out WSU cookies.
