Applications are invited for two $4,000 stipends for faculty members to help deliver the newly revamped summer orientation program for incoming freshmen. Through a partnership between Admissions and the Office for Faculty Development and Student Success, freshman orientation has been redesigned with the goal of increasing not just retention and graduation rates, but also learning, GPAs and satisfaction with the WSU experience. Applications must be received no later than Monday, April 25.

The faculty members selected will play a key role, speaking with both parents and students. There are eight freshman orientations scheduled throughout the summer. See the schedule at http://www.wichita.edu/orientation; if you need to miss one or two of the eight, we can work around that.

The workload includes four-six hours at each orientation, plus a few planning and debriefing meetings.
