* As the final presentation in the 2010-11 WSU Distinguished Alumni Speaker Series, seniors from the NIT Championship Shocker team will share some of their experiences from this record-setting basketball season, and their plans for the future at 7:30 a.m. Friday, April 29, at the Marcus Welcome Center. * The President's Distinguished Service Awards and the unclassified professionals' Wayne Carlisle Distinguished Service Award will be presented during the Shocker Pride Celebration Tuesday, May 3, in the RSC ballroom. * The Office of Multicultural Affairs invites the campus community to participate in Safe Zone training from 3-5 p.m. Thursday, April 28, in 203 RSC. Training will provide faculty, staff and students with up-to-date trends, resources and information to ensure a safe atmosphere for students and staff of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities on campus.
