* Budget officers and budget review officers are invited to attend one of the upcoming FY12 Budget Information and Enterprise Reporting Training sessions Monday, May 2, to Thursday, May 5. To view session dates, times and register for class, log on to myWSU and select the Help for Faculty/Staff tab. * WSU French-speaking student artists and musicians will perform at the Final Friday event from 5-8 p.m. today (Friday, April 29) at the Wichita Art Museum. Advanced French students will re-create a 19th-century salon, discussing art and literature in French and English. Admission is free. Read the complete story at http://www.wichita.edu/j/?1012.

* The College of Education will host its 16th annual Graduate Research Showcase from 8 a.m.-noon Saturday, April 30, in the Rhatigan Student Center. View presentations, posters and portfolios and listen to research presentations from doctoral dissertations and field studies, and master's theses from candidates of the college's departments.

* Come to Cessna Stadium Saturday night for the BCS Buster Track Invitational. This meet will include some of the top mid-major programs in the nation with the featured events from 6-9 p.m. A live concert by the band Seven Year Itch will follow the meet. Students get in free with a Shocker ID; general admission for both the meet and concert is $5.

* Bring the kids for "One Fisch/Two Fisch, Red Fisch/Blue Fisch," a Family Fun Day event from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at the Ulrich Museum of Art. Afternoon activities include make-it/take-it art projects, storytelling, kid-friendly snacks and a live art performance. The event is free and open to the public.

* WSU harp instructor Jill Wiebe joins her fellow Tulsa Symphony Orchestra colleague, principal violist Jeff Cowen, in the Appassionata Duo, for a Faculty Artist Recital at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, May 1, in Wiedemann Recital Hall. Call 978-3233 for tickets.
