* The City of Wichita Water Department will shut down water service to the east half of campus from 1-4 p.m. today (Friday, May 20) to investigate damage to a 24-inch main line isolation valve, and plan for a longer repair outage at a later date in the next three to five months. * Funeral services for longtime WSU engineering professor Dick Graham will be held at 1:30 p.m. today (Friday, May 20) at Grace Presbyterian Church, 5002 E. Douglas.

* The Blackboard operating system and database will be reinstalled today (Friday, May 20) to address documented issues and to improve the user experience as it relates to missing modules (Tools), ADA accessibility improvements and course copy errors. * Installation of new room signs has been happening to bring uniformity to interior signage and meet Americans with Disabilities Act standards. The signs are actually holders that will accept a paper insert with a room or office name. Templates are available online for you to make inserts for your department on a laser printer -- http://www.wichita.edu/roomsigns. These templates offer the only acceptable inserts for these signs. * Improve your writing skills by taking "Basic Writing and Grammar Skills for Business" from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Thursday, June 2, in Woodman Alumni Center. The session is offered by the Center for Management Development. Lunch is provided. * The Physical Plant will close and reconstruct the entrance to the Credit Union parking lot, including all the parking lot areas north of the Printing Building, behind the Credit Union and Police Building from Monday, May 23, until the start of the fall semester.
