National Honor Society launches interactive Summer Scholarship Program

The National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS) Summer Success S2 Challenge is a 12-week program that was launched June 6 and will continue until August. Wichita State University NSCS members are invited to join the NSCS across the country and more than 700 members who have already signed up to take this three-month challenge and win a chance to become a scholarship recipient.

Each week of the program will feature a different challenge on the NSCS Facebook page as well as in the weekly newsletter for members to complete to earn points. For every "challenge" members complete, they will be awarded a certain number of points.

"This is the first time we've done something like this on such a huge scale using the national Facebook page so we're all very excited about the outcome," said Leah Schklar, coordinator, Member Services and Interaction, who manages the NSCS Facebook page. "We love the idea of engaging and helping members grow throughout the summer, but we're most excited about awarding a $1,000 scholarship at the end of it."

Each week members will have the chance to win a prize. At the end of the summer the top three S2 challengers with the most points will be awarded scholarships. NSCS will award a $1,000 scholarship to the top challenger and two $500 scholarships to the runners-up.

To register, NSCS members must visit the NSCS Facebook page and view the note about registering here: http://ow.ly/4XpVJ or visit http://www.nscs.org/S2Challenge to read more about the challenge.
