* The last normal check run will be the week of June 20 for the fiscal year end, according to the WSU Foundation. Requisitions will be due at the foundation by 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, for checks to be issued on Friday, June 24. The foundation also will provide an opportunity for any items that need to be processed prior to the fiscal year end. Turn those requisitions in by 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, for checks to be available Thursday, June 30.

* WSU has style guidelines for official university communication. This applies to business documents, letters and memoranda, reports, news releases, Web content and other items for publication. The only exception is academic writing, which follows accepted academic standards. * Lake Afton Public Observatory is featuring a Fathers' Day Weekend special 9-11 p.m. Friday, June 17, and Saturday, June 18. Bring Dad or Grandpa to the observatory for the program "Thirty Years of Astronomy -- the Dark Sky," and they will receive free admission when accompanied by a paying child.
