* Take time to unwind with Art For Your Ears from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, July 7, in the McKnight Outdoor Plaza, featuring bluegrass band Town Mountain. Complimentary refreshments will be served, and attendees are encouraged to peruse the museum galleries, which open at 6:30 p.m. Admission is free.

* The Office for Faculty Development and Student Success is hosting a webinar series about topics related to students' transition to the college environment. The last one is "Understanding Students Who Are Active Military or Veterans" from 11:30-noon Thursday, July 7, in 115A Neff Hall (Honors Seminar Room). Feel free to bring your lunch. * Wichita State University offices will be closed and classes will not be held in observance of the Independence Day holiday on Monday, July 4. The second four-week session of summer classes will begin Tuesday, July 5, and run through Friday, July 29.

* Remember to submit your campus events to the online calendar for WSU at http://www.wichita.edu/calendarsubmit. Early entry is crucial to campus planners, campus media and statewide print and broadcast media, all of whom need to know the date, place and cost of any individual event.
