* College-bound high school students and their parents are invited to a free dinner, speaker and workshop from 6-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, at the Wichita Marriott, 9100 Corporate Hills Drive. The keynote speech, "Go to College without Going Broke," will be presented by Liz Weston, nationally syndicated personal finance columnist. An after-dinner workshop will help students and parents construct a financial plan for college. Reservations are required by Friday, July 22. * The university is hosting the USA Track & Field Junior Olympics, Tuesday, July 26-Sunday, July 31. Preparation for and participation in this large special event means the following university parking lot and street closures will occur:
--Now through Tuesday, Aug. 2, parking lots adjacent to the east and west sides of Cessna Stadium and the north side of Koch Arena will be unavailable.
--Thursday, July 21, and Friday, July 22, parking lot south of Cessna Stadium will be unavailable.
