Former Shocker baseball standout Andy Dirks will be in Kansas City when the Detroit Tigers take on the Royals in a three-game series Aug. 5-7. The alumni association is offering a tailgate and ticket package to the 6:10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, game. This might change to 1:10 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 7, depending on Dirks' placement in the lineup.

Tickets regularly priced at $27 are only $10 for the game, or $15 for the game and a pre-game tailgate celebration. The tickets are for seats on the main level near left field, where Dirks will be playing. The Saturday tailgate party starts at 4 p.m. and will be in Section G of the parking lot. If the tailgate party is on Sunday, it will start at 11 a.m.
