Reminders

* The McNair Scholars Program will host its 16th Annual Closing Symposium from 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. today (Friday, July 29) in 203 Rhatigan Student Center. This is an opportunity for undergraduate students to showcase the hard work they have done in conducting scholarly research with WSU faculty. Come and show your support.

* Today (Friday, July 29) is the last day to submit events for Welcomefest. To submit a form, go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?1100.

* The Heskett Center will be closed Saturday, July 30, through Sunday, Aug. 7, for maintenance. The business office will be open from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Aug. 4-5, for purchasing memberships and other business.

* After serving WSU for 19 years, Mike Call, assistant director of the WSU Purchasing Office, is retiring. Faculty and staff are invited to celebrate Call's retirement at a reception from 3-5 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, in the Purchasing Conference Room in the basement of Morrison Hall, room 021.

* WSU Foundation checks for the week of Aug. 1 will not be available for distribution until Monday, Aug. 8. The deadline for that week will remain at Wednesday, Aug. 3.
