* All women employees at Wichita State who submitted an invitation form are invited to the first Council of University Women luncheon of the new academic year from 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m. today (Wednesday, Aug. 17) in 203 RSC.

* A general library orientation in Ablah Library for faculty and staff will be held from 11 a.m.-noon today (Wednesday, Aug. 17) and 9-10 a.m. Friday. Aug. 19. http://www.wichita.edu/j/?1168

* The working group on Course Syllabus Templates compiled a template for course syllabi that is based on research, best practices and the needs of the WSU community. The template is available as a Word file at http://www.wichita.edu/j/?1190. Anyone is welcome to download the file and modify the content or format for their classes. Send suggestions for future revisions of the template to ofdss@wichita.edu.

* The University Bookstore has more than 400 titles available to rent for this Fall 2011 semester. You can rent these both at the main campus store and online at http://www.wsubooks.com. Just look for the blue "Rent It" signs.
