President Beggs to welcome WSU students on move-in day

Wichita State President Don Beggs and his wife, Shirley, will be among those who welcome students and their parents to WSU from about 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, at Fairmount Towers, at the corner of Hillside and 21st, and Wheatshocker Apartments on the south side of campus along 17th Street.

Among the WSU administrators lending a helping hand to students on move-in day are Elizabeth King, CEO and president of the WSU Foundation; Mary Herrin, vice president for Administration and Finance; Keith Pickus, interim Provost; and Wade Robinson, vice president for Campus Life and University Relations.

Fall semester classes begin Monday, Aug. 22. WSU officials are anticipating close to full occupancy in the residence halls, with about 1,100 students moving in throughout Saturday, starting at 10 a.m.
