CIO to report to Office of the President

President Don Beggs has announced that WSU Chief Information Officer Ravi Pendse will now report to the Office of the President. The units that currently report to the CIO will continue to be the responsibility of Pendse. The role of technology has become more pervasive across all areas of the university, according to Beggs. This change in reporting lines is intended to be responsive to the increasing reliance of technology in the ongoing activities of all units of the university. Space is being modified to house the Office of the CIO in Jardine Hall. Pendse is executive director of the Advanced Networking Research Institute, professor of electrical and computer engineering, Wichita State Cisco Fellow and Senior NIAR Fellow.
