Academy of Effective Teaching's New Faculty Mentoring Program

Tenure-track assistant professors in their first year at WSU are invited to apply to be part of the Academy of Effective Teaching's New Faculty Mentoring Program. One new assistant professor from each college will be chosen to participate in the program this year, with the intention of growing the program next year. The deadline for receipt of applications is 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26.

Selected new faculty members will be matched with retired colleagues from their home colleges and will meet regularly with these mentors to help launch into their new careers at WSU.

The goal of the AET Faculty Mentoring Program is to help new faculty start well, make a good plan for success in teaching and research and adjust to life at WSU.

To apply to be a mentee in the program, send an email to ofdss@wichita.edu that contains: your full name, rank, department, where and when you earned your highest degree, prior teaching positions (if any), and a list of publications (if any). Give a brief statement of why you are interested in the AET Faculty Mentoring Program.
