* Tenure-track assistant professors in their first year at WSU are invited to apply to be part of the Academy of Effective Teaching's New Faculty Mentoring Program. One new assistant professor from each college will be chosen to participate in the program this year, with the intention of growing the program next year. * To welcome Honors students and faculty back to school, the Emory Lindquist Honors Program is hosting an open house from 8-a.m.-noon Monday, Aug, 29, in 115A Neff Hall.
* Convocation 2011 is quickly approaching and judges are needed for the 12th Annual Flag Competition. The process only takes about 15 minutes. Judging will take place from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29, in 203 RSC. Sign up by contacting the RSC Activities Office at 978-3495.
* The Admissions Brown Bag Lunch Series starts Monday, Aug. 29. Faculty, staff and students interested in learning more about how the Office of Admissions recruits and admits more than 7,000 students each year are welcome to attend.
