* To welcome Honors students and faculty back to school, the Emory Lindquist Honors Program is hosting an open house from 8 a.m.-noon today (Monday, Aug, 29) in 115A Neff Hall.

* Come as you are at 12:30 p.m. Mondays beginning today (Aug. 29) in Grace Memorial Chapel. ShockerSpirit is a casual 30-minute time of worship and fellowship featuring Holy Communion in the open table tradition, courtesy of Campus Ministry at WSU.

* Faculty and staff are invited to information sessions about GradesFirst, WSU's new academic early alert system, from both the instructor and the student perspective. Sessions will be held 2-3 p.m. and 4-5 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, in 220 Hubbard Hall; 2-3 p.m. and 4-5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, in 101 Lindquist Hall; and 2-3 p.m. and 4-5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, in 215 Wallace Hall. * The Center for Management Development will hold a two-day program, Sept. 15-16, in Woodman Alumni Center. The program is designed to address the challenges information technology professionals face and will give concrete techniques you can use to manage projects of all sizes. * The Graduate School Office will have a second mandatory workshop for new GTAs from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, in 107 McKinley Hall. If they missed the first workshop and they miss this workshop, they will not be able to hold a GTA for this semester. Questions? Call Connie at 978-6241.
