'Walk a Mile in Her Shoes' event to raise awareness 'Walk a Mile in Her Shoes' event to raise awareness

"Walk a Mile in Her Shoes: The International Men's March to Stop Rape, Sexual Assault and Gender Violence" will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, in the Rhatigan Student Center courtyard. Admission is free.

The event is an opportunity for men to raise awareness in their community about the serious causes and effects of sexual violence. Participants are asked to literally walk one mile in women's high-heeled shoes, and while this is no easy task, it gets the community to talk about these difficult issues.
