* The Rhatigan Student Center will reveal the Rhatigan Rewewal renovation plans from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. today (Thursday, Sept. 8) in Shocker Square, RSC. Stop by this come-and-go showing of the Rhatigan Renewal renovation plans. RSC employees will be present to answer questions and provide information about the renderings and floor plans.

* Help us triumph over tragedy by participating in a unity walk at 6 p.m. today (Thursday, Sept. 8) at the RSC east patio.The event will include a period of reflection and remarks from WSU President Don Beggs and State Sen. Oletha Faust-Goudeau, who will discuss the impact this event had on us as a people, community and nation.

* WSU and the American Red Cross are hosting the fall blood drive from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, Sept. 13-14, in the Heskett Center lobby. Visit http://www.redcrossblood.org to set up an appointment. Walk-ins are welcome. * WSU Libraries will offer a workshop for new and returning Liberal Arts and Sciences graduate students to connect them with tools to make the research process more effective. Workshops will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, and 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, in 217 Ablah Library. * The Intensive English Language Center needs volunteers to be conversation leaders, spending time on Wednesdays helping international students practice conversational English. If you are a native speaker of American English and would like to volunteer, send an email to william.thomas@wichita.edu. At the present time, Wednesday sessions are 10 a.m.-noon, noon-2 p.m. and 2:15-4:15 p.m.

* The Application for Degree (AFD) is now offered only online. All new AFDs (from this point forward) will be accepted through a new link in the myWSU portal under Student Resources (Graduation Links). This link can also be added to college websites (https://webapps.wichita.edu/degreecard).
