* Students may enter their best Shocker T-shirt design to win a Bookstore Scholarship in the 7th Annual Shocker T-shirt Design Competition. The deadline to submit artwork is 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, to the Activities Office, 219 RSC. The top three designs will be printed and sold at the University Bookstore. * Dedication of the newly renovated Welsbacher Black Box Theatre, named for legendary actor/director Dick Welsbacher, will be celebrated from 5:30-7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at Wichita State's Hughes Metropolitan Complex. http://www.wichita.edu/j/?1231

* WSU faculty artists Julie Bees, piano, and Leonid Shukaev, cello, will perform in the Faculty Artist Series at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11, in Wiedemann Hall. Tickets are $7 for adults, $6 for WSU faculty and staff, and $3 for students. Call 978-3233 for tickets.

* Shocktoberfest 2011 "Going Platinum: Celebrating 20 Years of Shocktoberfest" is quickly approaching, but even with all of our student participation, these events are not possible without your help.
