* WSU has asked Stamats, a higher education research and consulting firm, to gather the perceptions of the university among faculty, staff, students and alumni. You will receive an email from Jack Sandeen (jack.sandeen@stamats.com) at Stamats with the subject line "Wichita State University -- We Need Your Input" asking for your participation in a survey. Please take a few minutes to complete it. Your opinions and feedback are important to our success.

* After 39 years at WSU's Physical Plant, Raymond Clay is retiring. You are invited to a retirement party for Clay from 2-4 p.m. today (Monday, Sept. 12) in the Heskett Center lobby. Stop by and thank him for his years of service to the university and Heskett Center.

* WSU and the American Red Cross are hosting the fall blood drive from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, Sept. 13-14, in the Heskett Center lobby. * WSU Libraries will offer a workshop for new and returning Liberal Arts and Sciences graduate students to connect them with tools to make the research process more effective. Workshops will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, and 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, in 217 Ablah Library. * The State of Kansas has extended the deadline for its voluntary retirement incentive program. Eligible employees have until Friday, Oct. 14, to submit their paperwork for the incentive.
