Faculty members interested in learning more about how and why programs for first-year students promote retention and graduation are invited to a webcast "Faculty Buy-In for the First-Year Student Experience: A Case Study" from noon-1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, in the Wireless Learning Space in the Media Resources Center.

The webcast will outline what makes first-year students special, why "Introduction to the University" courses are valuable, and how such courses impact the retention and success of these students.

Through a case study of faculty members' roles in making first-year programs successful at Montclair State University, the webinar will explain the role and importance of faculty members in supporting student success.
