* SAC needs judges for Man and Woman of the Year to review materials and interview WSU students for this prestigious award. Judges are required to read and review the application packets for each applicant, and be present from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, for applicant interviews. * Attention, faculty and advisers who teach or have close contact with freshmen: It's time to gear up again to administer the Collegiate Learning Assessment. This information helps the university assess its strategy in terms of teaching critical thinking, analytical reasoning, problem solving and writing skills. * The Media Resources Center is offering training on a variety of Blackboard subjects, Panopto and other e-learning topics. These sessions allow participants to use the software while being instructed. * Satellite Shocks is being held at WSU West Campus from 5-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20. Representatives from many campus services will be on hand providing information and answering questions. * KMUW's Fall 2011 on-air pledge drive begins Thursday, Oct. 6. We're counting on you for the important job of completing the membership pitch as you answer pledge phones.
