Reminders
* The faculty and staff giving campaign, WSU COUNT!, kicks off Saturday, Oct. 1, and runs throughout the month. This is part of the WSU Foundation Annual Fund and gives much needed support to the university. Our goal is to have 25 percent participation from faculty and staff this year, so every gift counts -- no matter the size -- so consider giving $1 or more per paycheck through payroll deduction. Visit http://www.wichita.edu/foundation/wsucount today for another reason your support adds up to success for WSU. For more information, contact Krista Voth at 978-3819 or krista.voth@wichita.edu.
* All faculty and staff are invited to learn more about WSU's study abroad exchanges, faculty-led programs and independent provider programs at an information and networking meeting from 1-2:30 p.m. today (Friday, Sept. 30) in 307 NIAR.
* Wichita State's School of Performing Arts will present the musical comedy "Good News" at 7:30 p.m. today (Friday, Sept. 30) and Saturday, Oct. 1; and 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2, in Wilner Auditorium. http://www.wichita.edu/thisis/wsunews/news/?nid=1572
* At 9 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 2, the annual ceremony of remembrance will be held at Wichita State's Memorial '70, located on Alumni Drive near 18th and Hillside. The ceremony is open to the public and a continental breakfast will follow in the McKnight Atrium, east of the memorial. For more information visit http://www.wichita.edu/memorial70.
* Last year, faculty and staff used United Way-supported services on more than 325 occasions. Recently you received information on how you can support United Way during its annual campaign. Consider making a gift, large or small. If you need a pledge form, contact delinda.royse@wichita.edu. For more information, go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?1250 or http://www.wichita.edu/j/?1249.
* Plan now to participate in the Michael Tilford Conference on Diversity and Multiculturalism Oct. 24-25 at Kansas State University. This conference is named in memory of the late Michael Tilford, WSU's representative on the Regents Diversity and Multiculturalism Committee from its onset in 1994 until his death. There is no registration fee to attend the conference, but pre-registration is required. For registration information, go to http://www.dce.k-state.edu/conf/tilford/.
