* Faculty, staff and students are invited to enjoy Interfest, sponsored by WSU's International Student Union, from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. today (Wednesday, Oct. 5) at the Geology Building patio, east of the RSC. The festival provides a platform for intercultural sharing where the WSU community and visitors can try out diverse cuisine and learn about the origins and cultural significance of a particular dish.

* A gathering of 10 survivors and 10 perpetrators of the 1994 genocide in Rwanda are featured in a documentary "Icyizere" (Rwandan for "hope"). The documentary will be shown at 7 p.m. today (Wednesday, Oct. 5) in the CAC Theater. Kenyan filmmaker Patrick Mureithi will lead a discussion after the screening. * The Application for Degree (AFD) is now offered only online. All new AFDs (from this point forward) will be accepted through a new link in the myWSU portal under Student Resources (Graduation Links). This link can also be added to college websites (https://webapps.wichita.edu/degreecard). * The state of Kansas deadline for its voluntary retirement incentive program for eligible employees is Friday, Oct. 14, to submit their paperwork for the incentive. Those employees will need to set their retirement date no later than Oct. 31, 2011.
