* Free dental screenings are offered from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Oct. 20-21, at the new Advanced Education in General Dentistry building located near the Hughes Metropolitan Complex at 2838 N. Oliver. Call for an appointment at 978-8350 and mention free screening. The visit will involve a dentist doing an interview and brief oral exam with recommendations. Any care recommended can be scheduled with a future appointment. This is a screening only.
* Heskett Center fitness classes at the Heskett Center start up again Monday, Oct. 24. Try the classes free today (Tuesday, Oct. 18) through Friday, Oct. 21. Special offer: Pay full price for the first class, and every other class you sign up for is half price. If you sign up online, the Heskett Center will refund you. * The fall Entrepreneurship Forum Series for Business Ownership will be held from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, in 107 Devlin Hall. The second of three sessions will feature a panel of entrepreneurs who have capitalized on the opportunities in various sectors of the service industry. Admission is free. * The finalists from the Seventh Annual Shocker T-Shirt Design Competition have their T-shirts on sale in the University Bookstore. There are three designs on sale for $10.99 each. The designer of the shirt that sells the most in the next two weeks will win a book scholarship. So head to the bookstore and purchase your favorite T-shirt to vote.
* Sodexo is offering scholarships of $5,000. Applications for the Stephen J. Brady Stop Hunger scholarships are being accepted from now through Dec. 5. These scholarships are open to students, kindergarten through graduate school, who are enrolled in an accredited educational institution in the United States.
