You are invited to attend a viola recital by WSU professor Catherine Consiglio at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, in the sanctuary at Plymouth Congregational Church, 202 N. Clifton. Consiglio is the principal violist with the Wichita Symphony and artistic director for Chamber Music at The Barn.

Music of the evening will be diverse and quite fun. The recital starts with a work for viola and piano called the History of the Tango by Astor Piazzolla.

Next on the program is a virtuosic duo for two violas by De Beriot with guest violist Boris Vaynor, violist with the St. Petersburg String Quartet.

Concluding the recital will be a jazzy Baroque piece by Italian composer Antonio Bertali. This Chiacone has been arranged for a small Baroque ensemble.
