* Spend your lunch break visiting cultures around the world from 12:30-1:15 p.m. Wednesdays in 210 McKnight Art Center. The Cultural Ambassador Program continues its weekly presentation series that highlights the native countries represented by CAP members.

* The next speaker in the Fall 2011 Chemistry Colloquium series, professor Masaru Miyagi of Case Western Reserve University, will speak on "Development and Applications of Histidine Hydrogen-Deuterium Exchange Mass Spectrometry" at 3:30 p.m. today (Wednesday, Oct. 19) in 224 McKinley Hall. http://www.wichita.edu/j/?1267

* Free dental screenings are offered from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Oct. 20-21, at the new Advanced Education in General Dentistry building located near the Hughes Metropolitan Complex at 2838 N. Oliver. Call for an appointment at 978-8350 and mention free screening. The visit will involve a dentist doing an interview and brief oral exam with recommendations. Any care recommended can be scheduled with a future appointment. This is a screening only.

* Ryan Alexander, an assistant professor in the School of Community Affairs, will share findings from his extensive research on violent sex offenders, from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25, in 209 Hubbard Hall. * Students and children can get free tickets, by advance reservation only, to the Trio con Brio Copenhagen, performing for WSU's Connoisseur Series at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, in Wiedemann Hall. Ticket prices for the world-renowned piano trio are $20; $18 for senior citizens, military and WSU faculty and staff. Student tickets are $8 if not reserved in advance. * The Ulrich Museum is hosting the Tallgrass Film Festival Closing Night Gala at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23. Admission to the film screening and gala is free for Ulrich Museum members and WSU students/faculty/staff.
