* A meeting has been scheduled for the university community in the Rhatigan Student Center ballroom from 9:30-10:15 a.m. Monday, Oct. 24, to discuss the process that will be used to select the next president of Wichita State University and the goals of that search committee. The chair of the Kansas Board of Regents, Ed McKechnie, and the president and CEO of the Kansas Board of Regents, Andy Tompkins, will conduct this informational meeting.
* Beginning today (Friday, Oct. 21) Central Services is using a new catalog for all office supply orders. Departments should dispose of all Staples Advantage catalogs and pick up a new OfficeMax catalog at the Central Services supply window in Morrison Hall, room 010. * With about 600 runners expected to participate, the Heskett Center's 5K Pumpkin Run at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, will affect WSU campus streets, sidewalks and some parking lots. Vehicular access will be restricted for a short period of time Saturday morning in order to minimize safety concerns for the participants and campus drivers. * You are invited to volunteer and join the statewide Swipe Out Hunger Campaign, sponsored by Numana Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to saving starving people, any time from 7 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, in the RSC ballroom.
