The Wichita State University Foundation will host a grand opening for the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) building at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24, in the new facility at 2838 N. Oliver St.

The $6.6 million AEGD campaign began in October 2008 with the announcement of a $3 million lead gift by Delta Dental of Kansas and the Delta Dental of Kansas Foundation. A groundbreaking event was held July 22, 2010.

Program speakers will include Peter Cohen, WSU dean of the College of Health Professions; Dexter Woods, director of the WSU Advanced Education in General Dentistry program; Linda Brantner, president and CEO of Delta Dental of Kansas; Don Beggs, WSU president; Ed McKechnie, chair of the Kansas Board of Regents; and Elizabeth King, WSU Foundation president and CEO.
