* An informational meeting has been scheduled for the university community in the Rhatigan Student Center ballroom from 9:30-10:15 a.m. today (Monday, Oct. 24) to discuss the process that will be used to select the next president of Wichita State and the goals of that search committee. The chair of the Kansas Board of Regents, Ed McKechnie, and the president and CEO of the Kansas Board of Regents, Andy Tompkins, will conduct the meeting.

* The WSU Foundation will host a grand opening for the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) building at 2 p.m. today (Monday, Oct. 24) in the new facility at 2838 N. Oliver St.

* The WSU Women's Choir and Concert Chorale will present a concert at 7:30 p.m. today (Monday, Oct. 24) in Wiedemann Recital Hall. Las Voces Dulces, the WSU Women's Choir, and the 20-voice Concert Chorale, both directed by Professor of Music John Paul Johnson, will present a concert titled "Hallelujahs Raise!" * Attention, faculty and advisers who teach or have close contact with freshmen: It's time to gear up again to administer the Collegiate Learning Assessment. * The WSU Post Office has begun accepting passport applications on behalf of the U.S. Department of State from 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. * Adult swimming lessons are offered at the Heskett Center for individuals age 18 and older who would like to learn to swim in a class setting.
