The Mainstage Theatre Series presents "The 39 Steps" at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, through Saturday, Oct. 29, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, in Wilner Auditorium. A recent Broadway hit, this delightful farce was adapted from the novel by John Buchan and the Alfred Hitchcock film. A guest marimba recital will be presented by Brian Mueller at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, in Wiedemann Recital Hall. Mueller, a native of Wichita, is pursuing a doctorate in percussion performance at Indiana University, where he is an associate instructor.
