Akosua Adomako Ampofo, this year's recipient of Sociologists for Women in Society's Feminist Activist Award and director of the Institute of African Studies at the University of Ghana, will present "Responding to Violence: Local Activism in a Global Context" at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14, in the CAC Theater. Admission is free. The talk is sponsored by the Department of Sociology, Office of Multicultural Affairs, Women's Studies department, Feminists on Campus Uniting Students and Alpha Kappa Delta. WSU is one of two campuses across the nation to receive a visit from Adomako Ampofo.
