* For those who submitted an RSVP, New Process for University Accreditation by the Higher Learning Commission and New Requirements for Program Review will be presented by Rick Muma, associate provost, at 11:30 a.m. today (Thursday, Nov. 10) in 203 RSC.

* Faculty and staff are invited to attend a presentation by Jen-Chi Cheng, winner of the 2011 Academy for Effective Teaching Award, from 2-3:30 p.m. today (Thursday, Nov. 10) in 115B Neff Hall. * All unclassified professionals are invited to attend the Unclassified Professional General Meeting at 3 p.m. today (Thursday, Nov. 10) in the Marcus Welcome Center to hear updates from across campus. * Wichita State's Ablah Library and the Lowell D. Holmes Museum of Anthropology in conjunction with the exhibition "Fa'a Samoa: The Samoan Way," will present the premier showing of the film "In Search of Tradition: A Samoan Village in 1954" produced by Lowell and Ellen Holmes, from 4-5:30 p.m. today (Thursday, Nov. 10) on the lower level of Ablah Library. Admission is free.

* New members will be inducted into the Academy for Effective Teaching, an organization of retired faculty members who distinguished themselves in their teaching careers, at a reception from 3-4:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, in 203 RSC. You are invited to the reception where the inductees will be honored for their outstanding teaching careers at WSU. Please RSVP to ofdss@wichita.edu by Sunday, Nov. 13.

* Celebrate International Education Week Nov. 14-19. To start off the week of events, the Office of International Education would like to invite all faculty and staff to the Garvey International Center Open House (southeast corner of 17th & Hillside) from 2-4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14.
