The Opera and Musical Theatre Series presents "L'incoronazione di Poppea" ("The Coronation of Poppea") at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, Nov. 10-12, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, in Wilner Auditorium. This satirical opera is considered Monteverdi's masterpiece and the outstanding opera of the 17th century. It will be sung in Italian with English subtitles. The subject is historical dealing with the Roman Emperor Nero and his obsession with the wife of one of his generals.
