Lawrence Britton, executive director of Veterans Upward Bound at WSU, will lead a discussion group from 11 a.m.-noon Thursday, Nov. 10, at Mead's Corner, 430 E. Douglas. The book under discussion is the Wichita Public Library's BIG READ program selection, "The Things They Carried," a book by author Tim O'Brien from the Vietnam era.
