Wichita HomeSchool, Ambassadors for Christ Academy, claim Kansas BEST titles
Nov. 5). BEST is designed to inspire and motivate students toward careers in engineering, science and technology.
By winning the competition, Wichita HomeSchool and Ambassadors for Christ Academy qualify for the regional competition at Frontier Trails BEST in Fort Smith, Ark.,
Dec. 9-10.
Also qualifying for the regional competition are Circle High School for finishing second in the BEST Award, Campus High School for finishing third, and Rose Hill for finishing fourth. Wichita Northeast Magnet qualifies for the regional competition for finishing second in the Game Award. Wichita HomeSchool placed third in the game competition.
The BEST Award is based on a project notebook, oral presentation, table display, interviews, and overall spirit and sportsmanship. The Game Award is based on the robot scoring points in the game competition.
