Jessica Bland is in the midst of obtaining an undergraduate degree in Communication Science and Disorders. She is gaining the firsthand experience of her future career through her position at White Elementary. Bland is involved in first-, second- and fifth-grade classrooms at White where she works in a large classroom setting, and as an intervention aide with specific students. Bland is also doing a co-op project this semester to increase phonological awareness skills with a first-grader through one-on-one sessions.
