As we approach the end of the calendar year, it is crucial to have all checks and cash deposited so the donor receives credit for the gifts in the proper year 2011. The WSU Foundation offices are open during the holiday break except for Monday, Dec. 26, and Monday, Jan. 2, so be sure to check your desks and send over any gifts from donors before you have a well-deserved holiday break.

All checks received during the break along with the envelope showing the postmark date are due at the WSU Foundation by 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2012, so they can be recorded in calendar year 2011. Any gifts with a postmark of December 2011 and received after Jan. 5 will be recorded in 2012.

Credit card payment information must be received by 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30, to be posted in calendar year 2011. Remember, you can refer the donor to the foundation's website, http://www.wichita.edu/foundation to make a credit card payment after 2 p.m. Dec. 30, or on Dec. 31.
