Promise for the Future campaign continues

The WSU Foundation is in the final six months of the Promise for the Future campaign, an effort to inform supporters about the impact of including a gift to WSU in their estate plans. Its goal is to secure 100 new planned gift commitments by June 30, 2012.

Mike Lamb, foundation vice president for planned and annual giving, challenged the foundation development staff to reach 75 new planned gift commitments by Dec. 31, 2011, and if they did, one of them would be selected to throw a pie in his face. They succeeded.

On Jan. 18, Diana Gordon, development director for the College of Fine Arts and the Ulrich Museum, received the honor to throw the first pie. There were two more. Barry Schwan, co-chair of the Promise for the Future campaign, threw the second pie and Elizabeth King, WSU Foundation president and CEO, threw the third.
