The 56th annual WSU Alumni Awards will be presented at a banquet ceremony Thursday, Feb. 2, at the Wichita Marriott Hotel. The event honors WSU alumni, faculty, staff and friends who make Shocker excellence truly flourish. Honorees are Bernard Nichols, Dr. Sam and Jacque Kouri, Les Anderson, Joe Hand and Linda Matson. A special Shocker tribute to Shirley and WSU President Don Beggs will also be featured. Festivities open with a champagne reception at 6 p.m., followed by dinner and the awards program.
