* The spring Entrepreneurship Forum Series has something for everyone interested in entrepreneurship from 3:30-4:30 p.m. today (Thursday, Feb. 9). Admission is free. * The spring 2012 GradesFirst campaign for academic early alerts will be launched Monday, Feb. 13, with instructor feedback to be submitted by Friday, Feb. 17. A series of informational sessions for instructors will take place from noon-1 p.m., 1-2 p.m. and 2:30-3:30 p.m. today (Thursday, Feb. 9) in 106 McKinley Hall. * Faculty are encouraged to announce in their classes an opportunity for senior students to take the Collegiate Learning Assessment (CLA) that measures WSU's progress on teaching critical thinking, problem solving, analytical reasoning and writing. There are several times available now through Thursday, April 12. See http://www.wichita.edu/j/?1405. Each student who completes the CLA will receive a $25 participant award from QuikTrip.
* Nominations are being accepted for the President's Award for Distinguished Service for Unclassified Professionals. The nomination form and instructions can be found on the Unclassified Professional Senate website at http://www.wichita.edu/upsenate. Nominations are due by noon Friday, Feb. 24.
