The Hugo Wall School will host the Kansas Association of City/County Management Winter Seminar on Friday, Feb. 10, at the Hughes Metropolitan Complex. The theme of the daylong seminar is "Economic Incentives in Local Government."

Featured speakers include Mark Werthmann from the U.S. Economic Development Administration, and Steve Kelly, Deputy Secretary of the Kansas Department of Commerce.

Topics include federal and state direction and policies for economic and community development, the importance of property as an influencing factor, rural opportunity zones, transportation development districts and community improvement districts.

The KACM Winter Seminar is an annual event hosted in February, attracting about 85-100 city and county managers/administrators and staff.
