* Victor Collins, assistant to the vice president for diversity and director of Multicultural Affairs, has accepted a position at Towson University. Faculty and staff are invited to a reception in his honor from 1:30-2:30 p.m. today (Monday, Feb. 20) in 203 RSC.

* The Department of Biological Sciences spring seminar series continues at 4 p.m. today (Monday, Feb. 20) with Mark Weiss of Kansas State University presenting "Genetic engineering in rats using embryonic stem cells" in 218 Hubbard Hall. The Media Resources Center is hosting a representative from Turning Technologies for a demonstration and to answer your questions in the FLS 35 room at the MRC from 2-3:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23.

* Practical Entrepreneur Training Tools are designed to better leverage your business strengths in today's dynamic economic times. The cost is $35 per session; $5 for WSU students. * Faculty are encouraged to announce in their classes an opportunity for senior students to take the Collegiate Learning Assessment (CLA) that measures WSU's progress on teaching critical thinking, problem solving, analytical reasoning and writing. There are several times available now through Thursday, April 12. See http://www.wichita.edu/j/?1405. Each student who completes the CLA will receive a $25 participant award from QuikTrip.
