The Center for Management Development will present the workshop "Budgeting Concepts" from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Thursday, March 1, in Woodman Alumni Center. Lunch is provided. Any tuition assistance that may be available is handled through Human Resources and must be requested more than two weeks ahead of the class.

This essential course in budgeting will give you the ABCs of putting together a workable budget and give a working knowledge of fundamental accounting practices, walk you through the successful methods for projecting revenues and expenses, and demonstrate proven ways to improve the budgeting process.

You'll also learn how a control system works and how to monitor, analyze and respond to budget variances. In addition, you will take an in-depth look at capital budgeting.
