* The Spring 2012 Physics Seminar Series will feature professor Alexei Grigoriev of the University of Tulsa presenting "Electrically driven phenomena in ferroelectric materials" at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, in 128 Jabara Hall.
* The Chemistry Department will host professor Paul Rubenstein of the University of Iowa as a Molecular Biosciences Series lecturer at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, 224 McKinley Hall. Rubenstein will speak on "The role of profiling in the regulation of actin polymerization."
* Nominations are being accepted for the President's Award for Distinguished Service for Classified staff until noon Tuesday, Feb. 28. Nominees should have provided exemplary, dedicated and caring service to WSU beyond the normal expectations and responsibilities of their position, and must have completed their initial six-month probationary period as Classified staff.
