Wichita State will host the Kansas Academy of Science 2012 Annual Meeting on Friday, March 30, and Saturday, March 31. Deadline for abstract submission is Monday, March 12. Registration, abstract submission and meeting details are available at http://www.wichita.edu/conferences/kas.

Events on Friday afternoon include a geology field trip in the southern Flint Hills and a biology field trip to the Ninnescah Reserve. Friday evening there will be the Kansas Academy of Science banquet and an address by Geology Watkins Visiting Professor and KAS meeting keynote speaker, Andrew Knoll of the Harvard Botanical Museum.

Saturday's oral and poster presentations of research by students and faculty throughout Kansas will be held in Hubbard Hall, concluding with Knoll's second presentation at 3:30 p.m.
